Five decades back, this same day, the world of cinema witnessed a 6 year old boy making his debut with a film. The little boy also made his debut special by decorating it with his maiden National Award for Best Child Artist. I believe that by this time, every one of you would have guessed that little boy. He is none other than the man Kamal Hassan, and the movie is Kalathur Kannamma.
Kamal Hassan – this man has proved this world that a person can reach great heights, if one has that desire and the will to work hard. All through his long 50 years of journey, he has established many time honoring changes in the world of Indian Cinema and the gratest part is that it does not have any parallels. He is one actor who has dedicated himself to some of the finest films without bothering about his image. He is the man who has the courage to carry failures on his shoulders and march ahead with confidence among the crowd who usually puts them on the almighty.
Having been a diehard fan of this greatest artist of this century, I am very happy and eager to watch his 50th year celebrations. I have also decided to celebrate it by penning down posts about him and his cinema journey every month all through this year.
So, let me join with you guys to congratulate Dr. Kamal Hassan for his breathtaking travel of 50 years in Cinema and his novel contributions.
