M.N.Nambiar (March 7, 1917 – November 19, 2008) passed away…

M.N.Nambiar, a legendary villain actor of Tamil Cinema, passed away today. He is one of the greatest actors of his generation who have marked his acting in Tamil, Telugu, Malayam and Hindi screens. Having made his debut in the film industry through the film ‘Bhaktha Ramadoss'(Tamil & Hindi) in the year 1935, worked in more than 1000 films, spanning an association of more than 50 years with the film industry.

No one can forget his mannerism of rubbing the two hands, bringing up a peculiar expression in the face and modulating the voice in his own style while he was doing the role of Villains.

M.N.Nambiar

More than an actor, he is a good human being who is good at heart, just opposite to the villains that he portrayed in films all these years. Also he is a great devotee of Swami Ayyappan, and he has visited the Sabarimala shrine for more than 65 years, by which he was called as Maha Guruswamy.

Many ppl call him by his caste name “Nambiar”, as they are not aware of his full name Manjeri Narayanan Nambiar. This veteran actor holds the credit of having worked with seven generations of actors that includes the legends M.G.R, Sivaji Ganesan, Kamal Hassan & Rajinikanth.

Let’s pray the God to rest his soul in peace….
